Creating a blog
How to become a bloggerIn order to become a blogger, you must decide whether you want to host a blog on your own web page, or if you want to use an existing weblog server to set up a new online journal. If you have a web page, then it is best to view an existing blog to see how it should be formatted, and to think about any alterations that may need to be made to the web page to cater for the weblog.
Building your own site
If you don’t have a web page to put a blog on but would like to, you can subscribe to your ISP who will supply you with a specific amount of space on their server, and also a domain name. You can then build your own site and host the weblog.
Ready made blogs
To get a free ready made blog, you can register with websites such as Blogger or Live Journal, who give you simple steps to creating a weblog.
Blogging communities
The next step would be to join a blogging community, which simply consists of visiting the website, choosing a user name and password, and then following the instructions to getting the online journal started.
Adding to your blog
Blog space will be provided, along with a weblog address. The rest is down to you to add text entries, images and other applications such as hyperlinks or video blogs. Sometimes you will have to notify the weblog directories before you post your online journal, due to the sheer volume of blogs.
